Every week for the past month, there have been rallies and protests outside the offices of Tribune Company newspapers around the U.S. Rumors are swirling about the potential sale of the Tribune papers — including the Baltimore Sun, the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times — to the notorious billionaire Koch brothers. 

This week in L.A., protesters focused on a new target, Tribune Company Board Chairman Bruce Karsh. Karsh also heads Oaktree Capitol, which controls a majority share in the Tribune Company. A group of more than 100 people gathered outside his home in Beverly Hills with the message that the public wants quality news, not political propaganda. (The Koch brothers have said that they want to buy media properties to push their political agenda.)

Next Wednesday, organizers will hold the "National Day of Action to Save Our News" at Tribune newspapers and TV stations around the country.
